The 18th Annual UKSMA Tutorials and Conference 15th and 16th October 2007 at the Union Jack Club, Waterloo, London.
The Keynote Speaker is Tom Gilb Tom Gilb joined IBM in 1958 and has been a business consultant since 1960, with his own company. He currently trains and consults with top management and engineering management for product development, as well as in the finance industry in the City of London and internationally. He ‘coined’ the term ‘Software Metrics’ 30 years ago! Tom will be speaking at the conference (16th Oct) on: SOFTWARE METRICS: THE 4TH DECADE OF MATURITY Making Metrics Practical in the Development Process - ten fundamental principles for failure, and ten critical software metrics principles for success in the commercial environment. Tom will also be running a one day tutorial (15th Oct) on: “Practical Project Management Metrics” Practical templates and principles: the quantified control of requirements, design, and project results for real stakeholders. The theory and the practice, using the 'Evo' process for project management, and the 'Planguage' planning language for expressing the metrics.
